St Edith's is available for weddings, christenings, funerals and memorial services. Visits for small groups or coach parties are welcome. Our church has been visited by walkers, cyclists, photographers, singing groups, artists, historians, pilgrimages, archaeologists and family history investigators. We can arrange children's activities and brass rubbing.

St. Edith's is part of a wider group of churches, of all denominations, Churches Together in Lincoln District, CTLD.

January 8th,   Plough Sunday, 10am. Blessing the Plough and all agricultural work, with Rev. Bill Williams, Young Farmers and live music

March 19th, Sunday  Welcome the lighter days and SPRING!  Eve Appeal Afternoon Tea (for ovarian cancer research), 3.00- 5.00 pm , with delicious home made cakes and craft demonsrations. This promises  to be a delightful event.   Everything's  arranged, we just need YOU!

March 26th  visit from descendents of Brian Cooke C17, to whom we owe the survival of much of the remarkable interior of St. Edith's

April 9th, Sunday, Eucharist, 8.30am

April 16th, Easter Sunday,   Special service AT 6.30AM, TO GREET EASTER AT SUNRISE, IN THIS BEAUTIFUL TIMELESS PLACE. The date of the AGM will be set before the end of April.  This is an open meeting, for EVERYONE with an interest in the church.

 APRIL 19th, Wednesday, 7.30, Annual Meeting,  IN CHURCH  This is an open meeting for everyone with an interest in our shared responsibility for this unique, ancient church.  While all support is greatly appreciated, please be assured that you will NOT be 'forcibly volunteered' or have any pressure put upon you.  It is a chance to meet and share ideas.  I hope you can come!   

May 14th, Sunday, 8.30am   Eucharist. The Parish registers of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1664 - 2000 will be avaiable straight after this service, whie we are having refreshments, until about 10am, or by special arrangement.

May 13-14th West Lindsey Churches Festival . The church will be open as a 'QUIET CHURCH', 8am - 8pm, both days. There will be beautiful flowers and help-yourself refreshments.  St. Edith's is part of the international Quiet Gardens Trust , so come and enjoy the peace of this ancient moated site. The Parish Registers will also be on display and available to look at for a limited time.

June 4th, Sunday, 10am   Group Rogation, with an update on this year's crops, with the farm manager, followed by refreshments

July 9th, Sunday, Eucharist 08.30

August  6th, Sunday, 10.30 am (PLEASE NOTE LATER TIME)   Group service with Rev. Dr. Geoff Turner, followed by a bring and share lunch,    This is a special service, combining thanksgiving for the first food of the season, with thanks giving for the love and care of friends, family and the community.  Everyone who has been baptised, confirmed or married in St. Edith's will receive an individual invitation.

August  13th Sunday, there will be no service

September 10th, Sunday  08.30 Eucharist

October 8th, Sunday,  08.30 Harvest Festival,  Gifts of non-perishable food will be appreciated. These are for the Gainsborough food larder. Fresh produce goes to the Women's Refuge to be used in their daily cooking together. Pumpkins make wonderful Hallowe'en lanterns for the children staying there.

November 12th, Sunday, 08.30   Remembrance service

November 25th,  Saturday morning , 9.30 - 12.00,   church yard clear up, all volunteers needed. This is a 'tidying/clipping/gardening' type of morning, very little heavy work.   Please bring gloves and your own tools,  refreshments, see you !

December 10th Sunday , 3.00, CHRISTMAS AT COATES , tea and stalls,  5.00pm Carol Service, with Willingham band        ( PLEASE NOTE , THERE IS NO EUCHARIST AT 8.30AM ON THIS DAY). Delighted to have succeeded in getting a delghtful soloist. Please do come to this real country gathering.

December 19th, Tuesday,  Willingham Scout Group  Peace Light- Carols, in church, 6.30pm

DECEMBER 25TH CHRISTMAS DAY      8.30AM   with the Scout Peace Light    EVERYONE WELCOME


January 14th  Plough Sunday 10.30am , with Corringham Young Farmers and a speaker from Tools With A Mission.   TWAM is a well-established charity which collects, refurbishes/mends, then distributes to order, packs of requested tools, to less developed countries where they are used to set up small industries or help with rebuilding after disasters.  Please do come and support this project.
